The Acura RDX is the very first crossover vehicle from the brand and it has been created to be an entrant to the compact luxury crossover SUV segment. It first came to the public as a concept car which is the Acura RD-X. Honda is the manufacturer that produces this vehicle and the production version of this vehicle was released to the public during this years New York Auto Show. It took the place of the Acura MDX for the entry level SUV. This vehicle would be coming with the best Acura auto parts plus a 2.3 liter K23A1 Turbo I4 engine for power. It would be coming on sale starting next year so similar vehicles like the Infiniti FX35, Lincoln MKX, Nissan Murano, Lexus RX, and BMW X3 better be on the alert when this come roaring down the streets.
Acura claims that this new crossover vehicle is a combination of technology and sophistication. Canada showrooms would soon be boasting of this vehicle soon enough. And those who would be lucky enough to be the first ones to give this one a try would find that it has the best type of hardware available.
According to Jim Miller, the executive vice president of Honda in Canada, ‘RDX highlights Acuras passion for developing vehicles with advanced technology that deliver optimum performance, safety, and fuel economy.’ After all, this vehicle offers an engine with a variable flow control so as to give the vehicle a broad powerband, a good amount of torque, plus, drivers would not be experiencing any kind of lag.
The Acura RDX crossover SUV will be offered with only one optional package available. This one would be called the Technology Package and just by the name itself, it would be giving the vehicle more advanced features. Of course, these additions would be giving the drivers or even the passengers an even better driving or riding experience.

Consider your Towing Vehicle:

Bass Boats:

Experts suggest that if you are considering going with a fiberglass bass boat that you purchase one with a 4-stroke outboard engine as opposed to a 2-stroke engine.
The reasoning is that even though they cost a bit more, they cover much more water as far as fuel is concerned, they are much quieter and much cleaner than a 2-stroke. The reduced fuel cost is estimated to pay-off for the additional cost of the engine in the long run. To give you an idea of the cost of a fiberglass bass boat, they usually range from $20,000 to a $40,000 top of the line boat.
New vs. Used Bass Boats:
There are advantages of buying a used bass boat. Clearly they will be less expensive than a new one and historically, used bass boats hold their value much better than a new one. Also, as mentioned above, is this is your first bass boat purchase, buying a used boat will give you a better understanding of what you may or may not want if you ever decide down the road to purchase a new bass boat. There are also disadvantages of purchasing a used bass boat. In the simplest way to state it, you may be buying someone elses headache.
Outboard engines, as are found on bass boats, are known to be short lived and it is difficult to determine this on a causal inspection of the boat. The best suggestion is to either buy from someone you trust or have a professional inspect the boat and engine before purchasing. Lastly, just as in purchasing a car, the seller needs to be willing to negotiate on price with a used bass boat sale.
Obviously, the biggest advantage to buying a new bass boat is warranties and the sheer joy of owning a brand new bass boat!
Boat Handling:
Whether you decide to purchase a new or used bass boat, learning to handling it is a process that takes time. Every boat has its own ‘personality’ and handles differently in every way. From launching to retrieval to water handling, bass boats are all different. A few examples of these differences are the sounds your engine makes when it is trimming, the way it pulls out and into shallow water and the correct engine positioning and trim tab positioning to get it up on plane. Bass boats are all different. Realizing this and knowing that it will take time to learn your boat will encourage you to spend more time on the boat and enjoying the wonderful sport of bass fishing!

The Flex is the first crossover vehicle to provide seats for up to seven persons. The full-size crossover SUV will be part of Fords formidable lineup in the summer of 2008 when the Flex will begin appearing in showrooms across the United States. Mark Fields, Fords president of The Americas, has this to say during the unveiling of the vehicle at the New York Auto Show: ‘The new Ford Flex crossover is a game-changer. Its the first vehicle of its kind that combines seating for seven, interior spaciousness and surprising features with a striking design that looks great on the road and at home for todays modern American families. The Flex builds on Fords leadership in crossover vehicles, which is the fastest-growing part of the auto market today.’ A crossover vehicle is essentially a large vehicle built around a platform of a small car. The advent of crossover is mainly due to the increased prices of gasoline. The public, fearing further increase of gas prices, have turned their backs on gas guzzling SUVs. While there are car buyers content with small cars, there are a huge number of motorists who wants the versatility of large vehicles like SUVs on their vehicles. To address that demand, car manufacturers started developing vehicles with the versatility of a large car and the fuel economy of a small car. Last year, the crossover market outperformed the SUV market for the first time which shows a strong inclination of car buyers towards crossover vehicles. This has lead car manufacturers to increase their lineup of crossover vehicles just like what Ford has done with the Ford Flex. The Ford Flex is characterized by a bold styling which is, of course, common on most large vehicles from Ford. The power of the Flex comes from an award-winning 3.5-liter V6 engine capable of producing 260 horsepower and a torque of 245 lb-ft. The engine is coupled to a six-speed transmission. The combination of the engine and the gear box allows the Flex to have a respectable fuel economy for its size.
