HOW DID THE PEAR GET INTO THE BOTTLE

HOW DID THE PEAR GET INTO THE BOTTLE France is known for its superior pears – there is even a pear named after a place, Anjou (or is Anjou named after the pear?)  Here, in the US, most of the pears are grown on the West coast but since I live in New York City, I get mone locally from the Hudson Valley. Mother Nature has a good method of bringing immaculate pears to you.  Most of the pears are picked while still hard unlike most fruits and vegetables because when pears are ripe they bruise easily. Pears improve in texture and flavor after they have been in your fruit bowl at home for some days. source

Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15 Review

Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15 Review Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15 ($22.50 for 0.15 oz.) is a moisturizing lip balm in a tube. The Sugar Lip Treatment is definitely hydrating, and it’s thick enough that it leaves a thin, buttery layer on lips once applied. It has a slightly gloss look, but it isn’t too high-shine. I love how moisturizing it is when it’s on my lips, but the problem is it doesn’t last for more than a xouple of hours. I find that constant reapplication is necessary to maintain that hydrated feel-once you stop, so does the moisturizing. source

Don’t store potatoes with onions

can make both spoil. Then I ran acros this link that categorically states that this is untrue: What gives? So who ya goin to believe? An extension service (run by a university) or some city slickers from California? Wouldn’t the potatoes absorbed the onion smell, and possibly flavor. So why store them togather anyways. I perfer my potatoes not tasting like an onion. Every second I spend waiting drags me closer to this grave. I’m not alone. No, I am just on my own. And I, it’s a little cold outside. source

Fresh Pineapple Upside Down Cake

Melt the butter. Brush a little bit of the butter on the inside of a 9 inch cake pan. Mix 5 tablespoons of the butter with the dark brown sugar and 1/4 cup of the pineapple juice. Place this mixture in the bottom of the cake pan. Arrange the pineapple rings on the brown sugar mixture in a decorative pattern (be creative). Set pan aside. Stir together the flour, salt, white sugar, and baking powder. Separate the eggs. Beat the whites until stiff but not dry. Beat two of the egg yolks until lemony yellow. source

~Roasted Cod w/Tomatoes,Olives, & Capers served over Tagliolini Pasta~

~Roasted Cod w/Tomatoes,Olives, & Capers served over Tagliolini Pasta~ I love anything roasted in tomatoes, olives & capers. I have had roasted cod at a local Sicilian restaurant which is one of my favorite dishes on the menu! I love the taste of roasted cod in a spicy tomato sauce that has a tangy kick of olives & capers. I use capers & olives in many dishes, the ultimate taste of the Mediterranean. I have made this same recipe with chicken and shrimp. It’s very important to season  the Cod with fresh lemon juice, salt & pepper and let it marinate for 30 minutes, if possible. source

Fresh Hotel (Athens | Greece) | Hotel Reviews | fresh review Me and my partner tsayed here for two weeks and we enjoyed a fantastic stay. The reception staff always welcomed us when we entered the hotel and the restaurant staff were very friendly during breakfast. Our room had unique decor that was airy and modern with good air con facilities and a small quaint balcony. The bathroom was impressive with… more I only tsayed one night – but everything was fine. Good location, friendly staff, nice room and fantastic terrace with wiew of Acropolis. It was just what I needed to gather the energy for a day in Athens before heading for the islands. source
