In a humble small-town setting 30 minutes northeast of Memphis, this family-owned joint serves up some of the region’s best crisp fried chicken with coleslaw and baked beans. It’s not for the timid–the seasoning includes spicy red pepper. Guests sit in booths and blues plays in the background. Credit cards aren’t accepted for orders under $10. Walked into the Bartlett location at 7:30PM on a Thursday evening to find out they were not taking any more orders! The big, bright neon light out front said “OPEN”. source
